Contingency Days 2025
The exam awarding bodies have collectively agreed contingency days for several years now. This is always scheduled at the end of the GCE and GCSE timetables.
The contingency days are put in place in the event of national or significant local disruption to exams in the United Kingdom, being part of the awarding bodies standard contingency planning for exams.
For June 2025, the awarding bodies have set two contingency days which are as follows:
11/06/2025 - Contingency afternoon session in the event of national or significant local disruption to examinations in the United Kingdom.
25/06/2025 - Contingency day in the event of national or significant local disruption to examinations in the United Kingdom.
Candidates and parents should consider the contingency days and note Wednesday 25th June 2025 as the final date when making their plans for the summer.
Candidates are encouraged to remain available until Wednesday 25th June 2025 should examinations need to be rescheduled.
